In winter, the Hérens cows leave the pastures and return to the village stables. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the Courtena farm in Basse-Nendaz and get an insight into everyday life on the farm.
You’ll meet at Nendaz Tourisme at 17:00 before travelling together to the Courtena farm in Basse-Nendaz, either in your own vehicle or by carpooling with other participants. The activity ends at around 20:00.
During the visit, get up close to these famous cows, an iconic breed of Valais, and learn more about the work of the farmers, how the animals are cared for and how milk is produced. It’s a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of local farming and its traditions.
The experience continues with a raclette! Take a seat in the authentic setting of the farm and enjoy this Valais classic, prepared with cheese from the region. A warm and delicious moment right at the heart of the farm.
